Today my daughter Imogen turns four. Yesterday we had a blowout 12 kid party in our house- complete with lunch, crafting and cake. Today I feel like I need a vacation. But it was fun and it was worth it and she got everything she wanted in that party because she was a very happy camper today. It was the first party I felt she will remember and I hope we made it a great memory. Thanks to all who came and a special thanks to the parents that decided to stay because I couldn’t have done it without you (and also to those who trusted us enough to go! it was a tight squeeze). It was also the first year I got it together in time to take a few pictures so here’s our days highlights- minus the disaster that was our upstairs where the mayhem ensued.

Our craft project was each child’s first initial made out of cardboard (from PaperSource) and we put out paints, markers, glitter glue sticks and various sequins (stars, hearts etc) and the kids did a great job.

I made Imogen’s cake again this year. Slowly I am getting better at this whole frosting thing. Steven gave me a frosting tip/bag kit and while its hard to have the time or the inclination to make stuff with it, it’s fun when an event or bake sale comes along. Luckily it’s a bit out of focus here so you can’t tell how far I have to go. I bow down to you food stylists……..

And lastly, our humble balloon decorations. Instant party when you are 4!
